Polyurethane Tactiles for Carterton Centre

Centrally located in the heart of the Wairarapa the Carterton Events Centre provides modern, flexible spaces for all types of events including meetings, concerts, exhibitions, weddings, corporate and community functions. The Carterton Events Centre is a clever mix of venue spaces that allows combinations of areas to suit the size of the event. Such public facilities require pedestrian awareness that look smart every day of the year and provide benefits to the visually impaired and blind. Total Tactilez supplied both Polyurethane Hazard Tactile Studs and Polyurethane Directional Tactile Bars which contrast expertly with the external paving.

The sustainable principles underpinning the venue design and flexible functionality are embraced by both community and commercial users. After years of planning and construction, the centre was opened boasting a new auditorium and meeting area but also taking full advantage of one of New Zealand’s oldest Library buildings which you can see today is the centrepiece of the modern design meets history. Total Tactilez is proud to contribute to that design and be part of New Zealand’s community in the years to come.
